SU roundup: SU women’s picked seventh in ODAC

FOREST – The Shenandoah University women’s indoor track and field teams leads SU in pre-season indoor track poll results released Friday afternoon by the ODAC office.

The SU women, who finished sixth last winter at its second-ever ODAC Championships, is picked seventh this season with 23 points in the poll.

The Hornet men are picked to repeat their eighth place showing from the a year ago. Shenandoah has 16 points in the that pre-season poll.

Roanoke, with four first place votes and 59 points, is the pre-season favorite on the women’s side with Bridgewater slated to take it all on the men’s.

The BC men have five first place votes and 61 points to edge out Lynchburg for that top spot.

Points were awarded on a 1-8 basis in each poll with coaches unable to vote for their own programs in either poll.

SU opens up its indoor season next weekend at the Haverford Invitational.
