WASHINGTON, Va. — Strasburg dominated from start to finish in a 46-13 girls basketball rout of Rappahannock County in Bull Run District girls basketball action on Friday night.
The Rams (8-6, 4-5 Bull Run) held the Panthers scoreless in both the first and fourth periods, and held them to only three field goals in the contest.
Emily Melnikoff led the Rams with 17 points. Kelsey Jenkins had seven points and three assists, and Kenzy McKelvey had a team-high seven rebounds for Strasburg.

SHENANDOAH — The Generals struggled to score in a Shenandoah District loss to the Panthers.
Page County led 19-14 at the half, but the Generals managed only two points in the third period, and only seven in the entire second half.
Emily Jordan led the Generals (0-13, 0-7 Shenandoah) with eight points, while Kayla Miller added seven.
Strasburg 66, Rappahanock County 36
WASHINGTON, Va. — Ryan Smoot and Tyler Doman combined for 39 points as visiting Strasburg rolled to a 66-36 win over Bull Run District rival Rappahannock County on Friday.
Smoot finished with 20 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals for Strasburg (9-5, 5-3 Bull Run). Doman, who connected on four 3-pointers, had 19 points.
Also for the Rams, Jonathan Kloosterman finished with nine points and nine rebounds.
