2013-14 All-Area Boys Basketball Team


• Travis Cooper, Central

The senior averaged 15.8 points per game to lead the Falcons this season. Cooper also averaged 6.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.9 steals for Central. Cooper was a second team All-Conference 28 selection.

• Grant Golden, Sherando

The sophomore averaged 18.1 points per game to lead the Warriors into the Conference 21 semifinals. Golden averaged 7.8 rebounds per game. Golden was a first team All-Conference 21 selection.

• Ryan Smoot, Strasburg

The junior averaged 12.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game for the Rams this season. Smoot helped lead the Rams to the 2A East regional quarterfinals and averaged 1.8 steals and 1.7 assists per game.

• Blake Steele, Warren County

The senior led the Wildcats, averaging 15.1 points and 10.9 rebounds per game. Steele also averaged 1.9 assists per game. He led the Wildacts to an 18-5 record this season, after only seven wins last year.

• Casey Stewart, Warren County

The senior averaged 16.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game for the Wildcats. Stewart also averaged 32.9 percent from 3-point range. He was a first team All-Conference 28 selection for Warren County.
