Prep roundup: SVCA girls beat Central Christian, place third in NACA tourney

DAYTON, Tenn. — Shenandoah Valley Christian Academy’s girls basketball team finished in third place in the National Association of Christian Athletes (NACA) Division 3 tournament with a 53-25 win over Central Christian (Ala.) on Friday evening.
Grace Snyder led the Patriots with 19 points while adding seven rebounds, four steals and three assists. Samantha Yarnall added 18 points, nine rebounds and a team-high five steals, while Carol Bartholomew finished with nine points and 10 rebounds.
Yarnall and Bartholomew were each named to the NACA all-tournament team, and Yarnall was also named the tournament’s defensive MVP.
SVCA, which won the Virginia Association of Christian Athletics state tournament last weekend, finished the season with a record of 20-8.
