MINNEAPOLIS -- The Shenandoah University baseball team has entered the top 25 rankings for the first time this season in poll results released Tuesday morning by D3baseball.com.
The Hornets, now 12-2 after a 5-1 week last week, are 18th in the week 4 NCBWA/D3baseball.com poll.
SU has 195 points in the poll to come in one point behind No. 17 Mount Union and 36 in front of Johns Hopkins.
Trinity (Texas) is the nation's new No. 1.
The Tigers have 15 first-place votes and 605 points to pass last week's top team, Linfield (Ore.).
Linfield has nine first-place votes and 603 points.
Shenandoah is the only Old Dominion Athletic Conference team in the poll. Bridgewater, which was 22nd last week, dropped out.
This marks the sixth consecutive year that the Hornets have appeared in the top 25 poll.
WINCHESTER -- Shenandoah women's soccer Coach Liz Pike announced Tuesday that the start of her 2014 Mini-Kickers Camp has been postponed by one week.
The camp, designed for children ages 3 through 5, will now begin on March 26.
The one-hour camp runs twice a week, Wednesdays and Fridays, from March 26 through April 18.
