WOODSTOCK — Central knocked off Bull Run District powerhouse Manassas Park, 2-0, in Bull Run District boys soccer action on Friday night.
The Falcons (4-1-2) took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Jose Flores on an assist from Taishi Ukai. In the second half, Ukai scored on an assist from Franklin Hernandez with 18:48 left in the contest.
“It is a big win,” Central coach Ted Poor said. “We changed our formation and it seemed to work. It’s a big win any time you beat Manassas Park.”

HAGERSTOWN, Md. — Shenandoah Valley Christian Academy’s Tristan Baker threw a two-hitter as the Patriots defeated Grace Academy in non-conference action. The game was stopped after five innings due to rain.
Taylor Jones led the Patriots (3-2) at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Patrick McGrath went 1-for-2 with an RBI, and Jacob Heflin went 2-for-3 for the Patriots.

MANASSAS PARK — The Falcons took an early lead and cruised to a Bull Run District win over the Cougars.
Hayden Bauserman had two hits and three RBIs, and Sam Cornman had two hits and two RBIs for the Falcons (5-3, 3-3 Bull Run). Jordan Rau and Brandon Paschall each had two hits for Central.
