JMU roundup: Roguski named to all-star game

GRAND LAKE, Colo. — James Madison University senior Amy Roguski is one of 22 Division I women’s lacrosse student-athletes on the South Squad for the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches’ Association North-South All Star Game, the IWLCA announced Monday.
The 2014 Division I North-South game takes place on June 7 at Cabrini College in Radnor, Pennsylvania, with opening draw slated for 11:30 a.m. The Division II game begins at approximately 12:45 p.m. and the Division III game caps the day at 2 p.m. The IWLCA selected 132 senior student-athletes for the six rosters.
Roguski finished ranked 14th at JMU in career goals with 116 over four years after 38 scores as a senior. She also assisted on 13 goals in her final season, including five at the Colonial Athletic Association tournament, to complete her career with 20 assists for 136 career points. She was a two-time CAA All-Tournament Team member and a two-time All-CAA honoree, earning first team accolades in 2013 and second team honors in 2014.
Roguski’s selection marks the eighth consecutive season JMU has been represented in the game as well as the 23rd overall appearance by a Duke in the event.
Five other CAA seniors join Roguski for the Division I All Star game. Delaware’s Alex Alois and Tori Zorovich as well as William & Mary’s Jenna Dougherty are on the South Squad roster; Hofstra’s Emily Corzel and Jenna Ward are on the North Squad roster.
