WINCHESTER –Â Shenandoah University men’s basketball coach Rob Pryor announced his team’s 2014-15 schedule Monday morning.
Pryor, who has just completed his third year as the Hornets’ head coach, has 13 home games scheduled for this coming season.
Headlining this home slate are a pair of tournaments –Â the BB&T Tip-Off Classic and the South Region Challenge.
SU, the 2013 BB&T Champion, will face Cazenovia (New York) in the opening round of the tournament on Nov. 15 and then either former USA South foe Methodist or Montclair (New Jersey) State in the Nov. 16 second round.
The South Region Challenge, now in its eighth year, makes its second-ever trip to Shingleton Gymnasium on Nov. 21-22. Pryor’s club will again face N.C. Wesleyan and Mary Washington in the classic format event.
Randolph, on Dec. 6, is both the Old Dominion Athletic Conference home opener and the only home game in the final month of the year.
January features five home games, including the final non-conference tune-up, against Ferrum on Jan. 5, before Eastern Mennonite, Virginia Wesleyan, Bridgewater and Hampden-Sydney visit for ODAC contests.
In February, the Hornets host Roanoke, Guilford and Washington & Lee with the Generals contest on the 11th marking the end of the home regular season slate.
In addition to the away conference schedule, Shenandoah travels to the Big Apple Dec. 29-30 to take on Lehman and CCNY.
