WINCHESTER –Â Shenandoah University baseball coach Kevin Anderson announced his program’s 2015 schedule Monday morning.
Anderson, who has led SU to the NCAA tournament in five of the past six seasons, has 23 home games scheduled for the 2015 campaign.
Included in this total are nine games against squads that appeared in the 2014 NCAA tournament.
Anderson’s club opens the year on Valentine’s Day with a non-league doubleheader against Misericordia before taking on Case Western Reserve in a doubleheader on Feb. 21.
Those four games begin a stretch that sees SU play nine of its first 10 contests at Bridgeforth Field.
The only away game in the opening quarter of the schedule is a Feb. 25 contest at Mary Washington.
Shenandoah opens the Old Dominion Athletic Conference schedule on the road at Roanoke the first weekend of March and hosts Hampden-Sydney, Virginia Wesleyan and Lynchburg in Saturday doubleheaders.
Washington and Lee, Bridgewater and Eastern Mennonite remain as midweek league opponents with those three series all being home-and-home affairs.
The Hornets will travel to Emory and Henry, Guilford and Randolph-Macon in addition to Roanoke.
Salisbury, a 2014 NCAA championships participant, visits Bridgeforth on March 22. This is the penultimate home non-conference contest of the season as York (Pennsylvania) comes to town on March 30.
The Lynchburg doubleheader, on April 18, will serve as Senior Day.
