WASHINGTON, D.C. — Christendom College’s Anne Nelson and Catherine Gaetano tallied two goals apiece to lead the Crusaders to a 5-0 women’s soccer victory over Trinity (D.C.) University on Tuesday.
Grace O’Reilly got the scoring started for Christendom in the 21st minute, notching the goal off a Bryn Burgess cross.
Nelson got her first goal on a long shot at the 61:45 mark, then scored again on another unassisted goal just more than two minutes later when she followed a rebound for the tally.
Gaetano added to that lead with two late goals, scoring at the 87.42 mark on O’Reilly’s cross and again at 89:31 off a cross from Nelson.
Madeline Hill finished with three saves for the Crusaders, who outshot Trinity 21-8 in the game.
