WASHINGTON -- Visiting Christendom College rolled to a 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-14) women's volleyball win over Trinity (D.C.) University on Wednesday.
Setter Clare Duda led the Crusaders with 19 sets to go along with seven kills and 12 service aces.
Also for Christendom, Bridget McMahon had seven kills and Mary Solitario added six kills.
Trinity freshman Sarai Burnett and Shamara Bell led the team in kills, earning five each for the night. Burnett also posted two aces and four digs. Trinity senior captain Brittany Wilkerson earned six assists, nine digs, and two aces for match.
STAUNTON -- Visiting Christendom topped Mary Baldwin by a 5-1 score in women's soccer action on Tuesday.
Christendom jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 25:24 minute mark when Dylan Burgess got her first goal of the season unassisted. The Crusaders were able to capitalize on their opportunities in the first half adding a second goal before the break on Catherine Gaetano's unassisted score.
In the final 45 minutes, Mary Baldwin (0-2) battled to create more shots but only Mayzie Lewis could find the back of the net scoring the Fighting Squirrels' only goal at the 72:56 minute mark.
The Crusaders continued their scoring streak, adding three goals in the second half as they rolled to the win. Grace O'Reilly assisted on a Bryn Burgess goal, and Byrn Burgess notched the assist on the second goal of the day for Dylan Burgess. Sarah Furth completed the scoring for Christendom with an unassisted goal.
Madeline Hill tallied seven saves in goal for the Crusaders.
