WINCHESTER — Shenandoah University Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Doug Zipp announced Monday that Quintrel Lenore has resigned as the department’s head strength and conditioning coach.
Lenore, who has been the second full-time head coach since August 2013, is resigning to take a position in higher education closer to his home in the central Shenandoah Valley.
As the strength and conditioning coach, Lenore was responsible for working with all of the student-athletes at SU as well as the administration and operations of the Toan Strength and Fitness Room.
“This is a great move for ‘Q’ and his family,” Zipp stated in a news release. “We are going to miss him greatly — he did an absolutely terrific job with our student-athletes and I know he was a positive influence in all aspects of their lives.
“Our coaches were unanimous in their praise of the work he did in the weight room.”
A national search for Lenore’s replacement is already underway. Lenore will remain with the department until the end of September.
