LEXINGTON — Playing through difficult conditions, Shenandoah University freshman Sarah Eadie completed her first round of play at the Washington & Lee Women’s Golf Invitational Monday evening.

Eadie, the Hornets’ lone golfer in the tournament, carded a 120 over the par-72, 6,000-yard Lexington Golf and Country Club course.

She is in 38th place in the 42-woman event.

Host Washington and Lee leads the tournament by one stroke over fellow Old Dominion Athletic Conference opponent Bridgewater. The Generals shot a collective 326 on day one.

The initial 18-hole round of the two-day invitational was played through a driving rain and wind storm.

Eadie completes play with the second 18-hole round Tuesday morning.
