FOREST — Senior field hockey star Ashley Cross has earned ODAC Player of the Week honors in selections announced Monday afternoon by the league office.

Cross, the 2013 ODAC Player of the Year, had four goals last week as SU downed Eastern Mennonite in both the regular season finale and ODAC Tournament quarterfinals.

In Wednesday’s 2-1 victory over EMU, Cross had the game-winning goal in the 69th minute.

On Saturday, she was unstoppable with all three of the Hornets’ goals in a 3-1 win.

She tallied the initial goal of the game in the 22nd minute, scored on a penalty stroke in the 34th and then gave SU a 3-0 lead by finishing off a Presha Merritt feed 10:59 into the second half.

This is her first ODAC weekly honor for the league’s leading scorer.

Shenandoah travels to Bridgewater on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. semifinal round contest.
