SU roundup: More changes for Hornets’ baseball slate
WINCHESTER — The Shenandoah University baseball team has announced updated schedule changes for this weekend.
The Hornets were scheduled to open the season on Wednesday at Mary Washington before hosting Elizabethtown on Thursday and then Farmingdale State and Penn St.-Altoona over the weekend.
The Mary Washington and Elizabethtown games were postponed, with SU to now play E-Town on April 2 at 4 p.m.
The Farmingdale State doubleheader was to be moved to Danville and Averett University’s North Campus. Unfortunately, due to the snowstorm that hit Southside Virginia Wednesday night into Thursday, this doubleheader is now cancelled.
The PSU-Altoona game has been postponed and will now be played March 16 as part of a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.
In the place of Sunday’s PSU-A non-leaguer, Shenandoah will take on Mount Aloysius in a non-league doubleheader Sunday at noon.
This doubleheader will be played at Owen-Fulton Field on the Averett University North Campus.
A makeup date for Mary Washington is pending.
The home opener is scheduled for March 8 versus Mulhenberg.
