Prep roundup: Falcons hammer Panthers in boys soccer

WOODSTOCK — Central had six different scorers in an 8-0 boys soccer victory over Rappahannock County on Tuesday in Bull Run District action.

Franklin Hernandez had two goals and an assist, and Eric Ventura had two goals to lead the Falcons. Tyler Bosserman had a goal and an assist, and Elijah Williams, Eri Dominguez and J.P. Bennett had a goal each for Central. Willie Armstrong and Ben Truban each had an assist. Central (3-2, 3-2 Bull Run) outshot Rappahannock County, 27-1.

Central has had 10 different scorers of the 14 goals the Falcons have scored this season.

“We’re getting scoring from everywhere, “ Central coach Ted Poor said. “We moved the ball well tonight.”

WASHINGTON, Va. — The Falcons picked up their first win of the season on the road in Bull Run District action.

Central scored twice in the first 10 minutes to pull out the victory. Freshman Ciara Philpott and Lauren Cook each scored for the Falcons (1-3, 1-3 Bull Run).

Central outshot Rappahannock County, 19-8.

FRONT ROYAL — Carrie Robinson picked up another strong win as Skyline defeated James Wood in Northwestern District action.

Freshman Lexi Grim had a two-run triple to lead the way for the Hawks (4-1, 2-0 Northwestern).
