New logo unveiling
WINCHESTER – The Shenandoah University Intercollegiate Athletics Director Doug Zipp announced Tuesday that the department will host an open house next Wednesday, April 22, to unveil and introduce its new brand identity.
The program begins at 11 a.m. in the Ferrari Room of the Brandt Student Center and will feature remarks from President Tracy Fitzsimmons and Zipp prior to the introduction of the new athletic marks.
The logo family, created by Skye Dillon Designs in consultation with a university-based committee, is the product of 14 months work.
The logo identity includes new primary and secondary marks, a custom typeface and sport-specific wordmarks.
“We would like to invite everyone to join us next week,” Zipp said. “There will be give-a-ways throughout the event that feature the logo and a special guest will be joining us.”
“This is going to be an exciting and fun day and I hope everyone can join us as we celebrate the introduction of our new athletic marks.”
The program will be filled with energy and excitement as the new marks are unveiled. There will be opportunities to take pictures with the new logos and to collect assorted give-a-way items the department is providing at the event.
The SU bookstore, located on the ground floor of the Brandt Student Center, is also holding a Flash Sale following the open house featuring hats, window clings and apparel with the new logos.
