Prep roundup: Magalis scores four goals as Warriors rout Hawks
STEPHENS CITY – Senior Erin Magalis scored the first four goals for Sherando’s girls soccer team Wednesday night as the Warriors routed Skyline, 8-0, for a Northwestern District win to close out the regular season.
Magalis scored goals in the seventh, 16th, 19th and 38th minutes of the game and became the first Sherando girls soccer player to score four goals in a match since 2002, according to head coach Rob Kilmer.
Olivia Elliott, Kelsey Singhas, Audra Sites and Abby Gibbs also scored goals for the Warriors (10-5-1, 5-2-1 Northwestern). Melida Berrios had two assists for Sherando, while Sites, Taylor Fogarty, Megan Triplett and Ryan McKenna each had one assist.
Sherando out-shot the Hawks 36-0.
The Warriors will be the third seed in next week’s Conference 21 tournament and will host Woodgrove next Tuesday.

FRONT ROYAL – Sherando closed out the regular season by thumping Northwestern District foe Skyline on the road Wednesday night.
Senior Andrew Wade had a hat trick for the Warriors (12-2-2) and added two assists, while senior Tommy Buono had a pair of goals. Jake Adams, Seth Wade, Sean Buono and Zach Wagner also scored for Sherando. Assisting on goals for the Warriors were Max Polio, Jack Flanagan and Nathaniel Pinto.
