2015 All-Area Girls Soccer Team

LuLu Funkhouser

First Team

LuLu Funkhouser, Stonewall Jackson

The freshman forward led the area with 17 goals and tied for the area lead with 12 assists for the Generals this past season. Funkhouser was a second-team all-Shenandoah District selection.

Emily Jordan, Stonewall Jackson

The senior forward finished second on the team with 13 goals, a mark good for fourth in the area. Jordan also had nine assists and helped lead the Generals to a record of 8-8-1 and an appearance in the Conference 35 semis.

Courtney L’Amoreaux, Warren County

The junior midfielder tied for the area lead with 12 assists and also chipped in six goals for the Wildcats. L’Amoreaux was a second-team selection in both the Bull Run District and Conference 28.

Erin Magalis, Sherando

The senior forward led the Warriors with 16 goals, a mark good for second in the area. Magalis, who also had six assists, was a first-team selection in both the Northwestern District and Conference 21.

Hannah McGann, SVCA

Courtney L'Amoreaux

The senior midfielder led the Patriots with 15 goals, a mark also good for third in the area. McGann, who also led SVCA with six assists, helped lead the Patriots to a 10-9-1 record this past season.

Kayla Phaneuf, SVCA

The senior goalkeeper finished with 83 saves and led the area with nine shutouts in goal for the Patriots in 2015. Phaneuf helped lead Shenandoah Valley Christian Academy to a 10-9-1 record this past spring.

Ciara Philpott, Central

The freshman forward tied for the team lead with four goals while leading the Falcons with seven assists this past season. Philpott was a second-team all-Conference 28 selection in her first varsity season.

Shauna Sayers, Warren County

The freshman forward led the Wildcats with 12 goals, a mark also good for fifth in the area. Sayers, who also had one assist, was a second-team selection in both the Bull Run District and Conference 28.

Audra Sites, Sherando

The senior midfielder tied for second on the team with seven goals and led the Warriors with nine assists this past season. Sites was a first-team selection in both the Northwestern District and Conference 21.

Dreaya Somerville, Sherando

Hannah McGann

The junior defender had two goals and helped lead a Warriors defense that recorded six shutouts in 2015. Somerville was a second-team selection in both the Northwestern District and Conference 21.

Taylor Ziemer, Skyline

The sophomore forward finished tied for the team lead with five goals and added two assists for the Hawks in 2015. Ziemer was a second-team selection in both the Northwestern District and Conference 28.

Kilmer lead the Warriors to a record of 11-6-1 and an appearance in the Conference 21 tournament semifinals. Sherando’s 11 wins were the most for the program since 2010.
