SU roundup: Shenandoah women’s track team earns academic honors
NEW ORLEANS — Jaclyn Mohlmann and the Shenandoah University women’s track & field program have been honored by the USTFCCCA for academic achievement in selections announced late Friday the organization.
Mohlmann was named as a USTFCCCA Scholar-Athlete while also being a member of a women’s program that earned All-Academic team honors.
All student-athletes competing at either the NCAA Indoor or Outdoor National Championships with GPAs of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale were eligible for the individual award.
The USTFCCCA recognized all teams achieving at least a 3.1 average GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Mohlmann completed both her academic and athletic careers in May following a second straight trip to the NCAA Outdoor Championships as well as receiving her Master’s of Business Administration from the Byrd School of Business.
The 18-woman track & field program had a 3.27 average GPA this past year. That squad was one of 11 (of 21) at SU to achieve at least a 3.0 GPA.
This is the third straight year that Mohlmann has been honored by the USTFCCCA for her academics and the seventh straight year that the women’s team has earned academic accolades.
