JMU roundup: Robinson suspended from football team

HARRISONBURG — James Madison University redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Simeyon Robinson has been suspended from the football team indefinitely according to a press release from the university.

“Simeyon Robinson has been suspended from the James Madison University football team for violation of university and team policies,” JMU football coach Everett Withers stated in a press release. “It is our hope that we can teach and mentor our young men to make the right choices.”

Robinson had three tackles in the first two games of the season, including a 0.5 sack.

The Dukes (2-0) will host Albany (1-1) on Saturday at Bridgeforth Stadium at 3 p.m.
