The senior finished with 71 tackles, including 37 solo. Carr also had one interception. He was a second team All-Conference 35 selection and led the Rams to a playoff berth.

Linebacker

The junior was named the Conference 21 West Defensive Player of the Year. Rivers finished with 43 tackles, including 16 for loss, and three interceptions.

Linebacker

The senior led the Hawks with 118 tackles. Sanker was a second team All-Conference 28 selection. He led the Hawks to the sceond round of the playoffs.

Tyler Tinsman, Sherando
Linebacker

The senior had an area-best 124 tackles. He had two different games with 17 tackles. Tinsman also had 3.5 sacks and one interception and led Sherando to a district title.

Marcus Burke, Skyline
Defensive back

The senior had 69 tackles, including 40 solo. Burke also had a team-high three interceptions, including two in the Hawks’ playoff victory over Culpeper.

Trevin Howard, Strasburg
Defensive back

The senior had 42 tackles, including 30 solo. Howard had a team-best three interceptions. He led the Rams into the playoffs for the second consecutive season.

Defensive back

The junior finished the season with 29 tackles, including 10 solo. Peterson had two interceptions. He was a first team All-Conference 21 West selection.

Carston Shockey, Central
Defensive back

The junior had 31 tackles, including 18 solo. Shockey finished with three interceptions to lead the Falcons. Shockey was a second-team All-Bull Run District selection.
