2016 Boys Basketball All Area team

First team

Cam Ford, Warren County
The junior averaged 19.1 points per game to lead the Wildcats this season. He shot 48.1 percent from the floor. Ford was a first-team All-Bull Run District selection and a first-team All-Conference 28 selection.

Azjier Outler, Sherando
The senior was the Conference 21 West Player of the Year. Outler averaged 12.7 points, 4.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He also shot 50.3 percent from the floor and 75.6 percent from the free-throw line.

Ian Pugh, Central
The junior led the Falcons, scoring 13 points per contest. Pugh led the area with 4.8 assists per game. Pugh shot 53.2 percent from the floor, and was a first team All-Bull Run and Conference 28 selection.

Kaelan Sorrells, Stonewall Jackson
The junior did a little bit of everything for the young Generals squad this season. He averaged 15.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.2 assist and an area-best 3.5 steals per game. Sorrells was a first team All-Conference 44 pick.

Antwan Swain, Skyline
The senior averaged 11.1 points and 6.5 rebounds per game for the Hawks. He also averaged 1.5 steals per contest, and shot 65.0 percent from the free-throw line. Swain was a first team All-Conference 28 pick.

Coach: Brandon Shields, Central
Shields led the Falcons to a 15-9 record, the most wins by the program in a number of years. Central qualified for regionals, and were the third seed in Conference 35.
