First Team

Sean Buono, Sherando

The junior forward finished the season with seven goals and eight assists to lead the Warriors in both categories. Buono, who helped lead Sherando to seven wins. was a first team all-Conference 21 West pick.

Justin Carr, Strasburg

The senior defender provided leadership to the Rams’ back line this spring. Carr, who helped the Rams reach seven wins, was a first team all-Conference 35 and all-Bull Run District selection.

Jorge Figueroa, Warren County

The sophomore forward finished with 14 goals, a mark that led the Wildcats and ranked second among local players. Figueroa was a first team all-Conference 28 and all-Bull Run District selection.

Juan Jacuinde, Stonewall Jackson

The sophomore midfielder led the Generals with nine goals, a mark tied for fifth in the area this spring. Jacuinde was a first team all-Conference 44 selection and a second team all-Shenandoah District pick.

Tyler Lacek, Stonewall Jackson

The senior midfielder had six goals and led the Generals with five assists. Lacek, who helped Stonewall win four games, was a first team all-Conference 44 selection and a second team all-Shenandoah District pick.

Elmer Lopez, Central

The senior midfielder scored 10 goals, a mark that ranked fourth in the area, and contributed nine assists for the Falcons. Lopez was a first team all-Conference 35 and second team all-Bull Run District selection.

Matt Moore, Warren County

The senior defender was the captain of the Wildcats’ back line this spring. Moore, who helped lead Warren County to seven wins, was a second team all-Conference 28 and all-Bull Run District selection.

Kyle Tiemeyer, Strasburg

The junior midfielder led the Rams with 11 goals, a mark that ranked third among local players this spring, and contributed four assists. Tiemeyer was a second team all-Bull Run District selection.

Seth Wade, Sherando

The junior midfielder scored four goals for the Warriors this spring and contributed seven assists, a mark good for second on the team. Wade was a first team all-Conference 21 West selection.

Korey Wolford, Central

The senior forward finished with area highs in goals (19) and assists (13) this spring. Wolford was a second team all-Region 2A East selection and a first-team pick in both Conference 35 and the Bull Run District.

Dean Woodwell, Central

The sophomore goalkeeper finished with 83 saves, a mark that ranked second among local players, and he led the area with five shutouts. Woodwell helped lead a defense that allowed 2.3 goals per game.

Ted Poor, Central

In his seventh season as head coach, Poor led the Central to a 12-6 record and the program’s first regional tournament appearance in five years. The Falcons’ 12 wins were their most since 2011.
