First team

*Matt Brannon, Handley — Brannon, a senior who is headed to Thiel College in the fall, scored nine goals from the back as he helped lead Handley to an undefeated regular season and Northwestern District title.

*Armando Moreno-Paniagua, Stonewall Jackson — Led the area in goals as a sophomore with 16 and contributed four assists for the Generals. He was a first-team selection in the Shenandoah District and second-team all-Region B pick.

*Patrick Bain, Stonewall Jackson — A big, speedy midfielder, notched eight goals and five assists for the Generals. Just a sophomore, Bain earned first-team honors in the Shenandoah District and was an honorable mention pick in Region B.

*Alex Barrette, James Wood — Barrette registered eight goals and four assists for the Colonels, and was the only sophomore selected to the Northwestern District first team.

*Matt Brady, Sherando — The Northwestern District Co-Player of the Year with Brannon, Brady scored nine goals and doled out seven assists.

*Spencer Burkholder, Handley — An excellent taker of free kicks, Burkholder handed out nine assists and was first-team all-district and all-region selection.

*Bryant Henriquez, Clarke County — Henriquez made first-team all-Bull Run and all-Region B as a senior.

*Brian Marchelewski, Millbrook — Marchelewski got the nod on the Northwestern District's first team.

*Josh Mort, Sherando — A dominating midfielder, Mort was second-team all-Region B while leading the area in assists with 10.

*Randolph Boppe, Handley — Led the Northwestern District's best team with 10 goals, and was an all-district second-teamer.

*GK: Dustin Butcher, Sherando — Last year's Northern Virginia Daily Boys Soccer Player of the Year led the area with 121 saves, earning first-team all-district and all-region honors.
