WINCHESTER — Handley used a 13-2 run to start the second half to erase an eight-point halftime deficit en route to a 60-52 Northwestern District girls basketball victory over Skyline on Saturday.
Corin Scott, Kirsten Ward and Jasmine Curtis combined for 11 of Handley’s points during the run. The Judges picked up their defense in the second half, and forced the Hawks into 15 second-half turnovers.
Scott finished with 20 points to lead Handley, while Curtis finished with 18. Ward added 11 for the Judges. Taylor Henry led the Hawks with 26 points, 18 of which came in the opening half. Oshene Kelly added 18 for Skyline.
