Ryan Smoot, Strasburg


The senior batted .439 with 23 RBIs and 34 runs scored. Smoot was named first team all-Region 2A East and was a Group 2A all-state first-team selection by the VHSCA.

Austin King, Warren County

Austin King


The senior batted .313 with a home run, seven doubles and 21 RBIs in only 48 at-bats after returning from injury. King was a second-team pick in the the Bull Run and Conference 28.

Robert Presley, Skyline


The senior led the Hawks in batting average (.410) and runs scored (21) and drove in 14 runs. Presley was voted a first team all-Conference 28 selection.

Josh Pritchett, Strasburg


The sophomore batted .301 for the Rams and led the area in home runs (3), doubles (10), and RBIs (33). Pritchett was a first team all-Bull Run District selection.

Corey Sibert, Central

The junior finished the 2015 season with a .327 batting average and 11 runs batted in. Sibert led the Falcons with five doubles and also scored seven runs.

Eric Baker, Warren County


The senior led the Wildcats in batting average (.429), RBIs (24) and stolen bases (15). Baker was a first-team selection in the Bull Run District and Conference 28.

The junior led the Falcons in batting average (.417), RBIs (13) and triples (3). Hoover was a second-team selection in both the Bull Run District and Conference 28.

Noah St. Clair, Strasburg


The senior batted .405 with two homers, 34 runs scored and 19 stolen bases. St. Clair was a Group 2A all-state first-team selection by the VHSCA and VHSL.

Designated Hitter

The sophomore batted .364 with 10 RBIs and 18 runs scored. Kandrick was a first-team selection in both the Northwestern District and Conference 28.

Joseph Rutherford, Warren County


The junior batted .383 with 27 runs scored and pitched to a 6-2 record with a 1.05 ERA and 54 strikeouts. Rutherford was a first-team selection in the Bull Run and Conference 28.

Mark Smoot, Strasburg


The senior was 11-1 with a 1.27 ERA and 66 strikeouts in 66 innings pitched. Smoot was named the Group 2A State Player of the Year by both the VHSCA and VHSL.

Adam Whitacre, Sherando


The senior was 5-2 with a 1.24 ERA and 52 strikeouts. Whitacre was the Conference 21 and Region 4A North Player of the Year and was a VHSCA Group 4A all-state outfielder.
