The following are some of the area recreational events that are being held:
Loudoun Street Mile
The annual Loudoun Street Mile will be held at 8 a.m. Monday on the Loudoun Street Mall in Winchester.
Featured will be a fitness walk, open men and women, kids’ mile and a children’s 100 yard “Tot Trot.” Prizes awarded. Information: www.loudounstreetmile.com or www.runsignup.com/Race/VA/Winchester.
Kirk Andrews will lead a bird walk from 8 to 10 a.m. June 3 at the Seven Bends State Park in Woodstock (weather permitting).
The trail is flat and about a mile long. Those attending should meet at 8 a.m. at the Friends of the Shenandoah River office at 305 W. Court St., Woodstock. A carpool will follow to the Lupton side of the park.

Woodstock 5 Miler
The Shenandoah Valley Runners will hold the Woodstock 5 Miler Run starting at 7:30 a.m. June 10 on Kingree Street next to the Shenandoah County Government Center.
Entry fees are $19 for SVR members and $20 for nonmembers. Proceeds benefit the United Methodist Church Food Pantry.
