2017 All-Area Boys Soccer Team

Sean Buono

First Team

J.P. Bennett, Central

The senior forward led the area with 26 goals and added five assists for the Falcons. Bennett was a first team All-Bull Run District and All-Conference 35 pick and second team All-Region 2A East.

Sean Buono, Sherando

The senior forward ranked second in the area in goals scored (23) and had seven assists. Buono was a second team VHSL Group 4A All-State selection and the Conference 21 West Player of the Year.

J.P. Bennett

Edwar Calles, Central

The senior midfielder scored nine goals and ranked third in the area with 11 assists. Calles was a first team All-Conference 35 selection and a second team All-Bull Run District pick.

Armando Carreno, Central

The senior midfielder scored nine goals and was second in the area with 12 assists. Carreno was a second team VHSL Group 2A All-State pick and first team All-Region 2A East.

Jacob Crowley, Sherando

Edwar Calles

The junior defender helped lead a Warrior defense that posted eight shutouts and limited opponents to 1 goal per game this season. Crowley was a first team All-Conference 21 West selection.

Brody Jones, Skyline

The junior forward tied Matias Lozano for the Hawks’ team lead with 13 goals scored this past season, a mark that also tied Jones for third among local public school players.

The sophomore goalkeeper was second in the area in total saves (118) and shutouts (8). Scott was a first team All-Conference 21 West selection and a second team All-Region 4A West pick.

Kyle Tiemeyer, Strasburg

The senior forward ranked fourth in the area with 12 goals scored and added three assists for the Rams. Tiemeyer was a first team All-Bull Run District and All-Conference 35 pick.

The senior forward tied for third in the area with 13 goals and led the area in assists (13). Wade was a first team All-Conference 21 West selection and second team All-Region 4A West.

Elijah Williams, Central

The senior was the captain of a Falcon defense that posted an area-best 10 shutouts this season. Williams was a first team All-Bull Run District and All-Conference 35 pick and second team All-Region 2A East.
