2017 All-Area Boys Tennis team

Michael Bellu

Michael Bellu, Skyline

The senior played part of the season at No. 1 singles for the Hawks. He helped lead Skyline to a 6-12 record. The Hawks advanced to the Conference 28 tournament semifinals.

Matt Bromley, Central

The senior missed part of the year due to injury, but once he came back he played at No. 1 singles. His return helped the Falcons win five matches in a row late in the season.

Jon Long-Leary, Warren County

Matt Bromley

The sophomore played at No. 1 singles for the Wildcats this season. Playing in a tough district and conference, Long-Leary helped the Wildcats be competitive in their matches.

Matias Lozano, Skyline

The exchange-student from Chile played at No. 1 singles for the last part of the season, while also playing for on the boys soccer team. He finished with a 14-3 record for the Hawks.

Josh Sherman, Central

The senior played at No. 1 and 2 singles during the season for the Falcons. Sherman helped lead Central to a 7-10 record, including a five-match winning streak late in the year.

Jon Long-Leary

Cameron Spieles, Sherando

The senior played at No. 1 singles for the second consecutive season. Spieles helped lead the Warriors to a 6-11 record. Spieles also played in the Conference 21 West individual singles tourney.

Coach: Luke Robinson, Central

Robinson helped guide the Falcons to a 7-10 season, including finishing second in the Bull Run District and the Conference 35 tournament. The Falcons went 2-9, before reeling off five wins in a row.
