Recreation Events: Sept. 12
The following are some of the area recreational events that are being held:
The Blue Ridge Association of Realtors will host a charity golf tournament Sept. 19 at Blue Ridge Shadows in Front Royal.
The captain’s choice tournament will raise money for F.R.O.G., Families Reaching Out Group, a Winchester nonprofit helping children who are the victims of abuse, neglect or are at risk.
Registration, which is $80 per person or $300 per team, begins at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch at noon and shotgun start at 1 p.m.

The 50/50 Strasburg cornhole tournament will be held at 2 p.m. Sept. 23 at the town’s new event space.
Sixteen teams will face off until one is crowned. The winner will receive half of the pot ($160). Registration is $10 per person or $20 per team. Food sold. Proceeds benefit community-wide events.

The NOVA Veteran’s Association will host Biketoberfest from noon to 8 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Warren County Fairgrounds in Front Royal.
There will be live music, food trucks, beer garden, moon bounce, vendors, auction, raffles and 1940s classic pinup girl contest. Held rain or shine.
The annual Tri-State Antique Truck Show will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 20-22 at the Frederick County Fairgrounds in Clear Brook.
Visitors will see antique trucks, fire trucks, farm tractors and military vehicles, all in working condition. There will also be a flea market, parts, tools and memorabilia. Information. 540-478-4389.
The annual car and truck show at King Mt. Carmel Regular Baptist Church in Luray will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 22. Featured will be unique cars, food, silent auction and door prizes. Information: 540-743-9558.
