WINCHESTER -- There's no question that defense will be a big factor in Saturday's Group AA, Division 3 state final between Millbrook and Greensville County.
RICHMOND -- All season, the Millbrook Pioneers have preached the importance of taking their campaign one game at a time. When winning the state championship is a preseason goal, there's no room for getting caught looking too far down the road, thereby stumbling in the postseason's early rounds.
RICHMOND -- Millbrook senior Lacey Harris was in shock. As the Pioneers' girls basketball team traveled from their hotel rooms to the game on Tuesday morning, things were very different on the bus.
WINCHESTER -- Millbrook coach Debby Sanders knows her squad has one big advantage over most of the remaining teams left in the Group AA, Division 3 girls basketball state tournament. The Pioneers like to use their full-court press and play at a fast tempo, and slowing them down won't be easy.
