STRASBURG -- Strasburg's Wendy Diaz Sousa scored in the last minute of overtime to give the Rams a 1-0 Bull Run District girls soccer win over Central.
WOODSTOCK -- Host Central rallied for three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to deal William Monroe its first Bull Run District baseball loss on Monday.
LURAY -- Megan Norton scored two goals to lead Shenandoah Valley Christian Academy to a 4-0 win over Mt. Carmel in the North Region VACA girls soccer semifinals at Mt. Carmel. The Patriots will play Fresta Valley today at 2 p.m. in the final.
BERRYVILLE -- Strasburg's Tyler Doman accomplished a rare feat on Thursday, as the junior pitched a no-hitter against Bull Run District foe Clarke County but still came out on the losing end as the Rams fell 1-0.
STRASBURG -- Wyatt Hitt scored the game-winning goal with a little over a minute left to give Central a 2-1 Bull Run District boys soccer victory over Strasburg on Friday night.
Hitt scored on an assist from Tony Whetzel. Stephen Hamrick also scored a goal for Central on an assist from Nathan Spencer.
WOODSTOCK -- Central freshman Rebekah Ansbro threw a perfect game in the Falcons' 12-0 Bull Run District softball win over visiting Rappahannock County on Thursday in a game shortened to five innings due to the mercy rule.
LURAY -- Stonewall Jackson's Colton Harlow delivered a strong all-around effort to lead the Generals to a 10-1 baseball win over homestanding Luray in Shenandoah District action on Wednesday
FRONT ROYAL -- Warren County junior Kelsea Potts tallied three goals for her first hat trick of the season and teammate Tori Graham added two more goals as the Wildcats blanked cross-town rival Skyline 5-0 in non-district girls soccer on Tuesday.
FRONT ROYAL -- Maddie Deason had two goals and an assist to lead Shenandoah Valley Christian Academy to a 6-0 victory over Randolph-Macon Academy in girls soccer action on Monday.
BERRYVILLE -- Central held the lead for much of Friday's Bull Run District boys soccer match with host Clarke County, but the Eagles struck for a goal late in regulation and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
BEALETON -- Reid Entsminger had a first-inning grand slam to help carry Sherando to an 11-1 non-district baseball victory over Liberty. The game was called after five innings due to the mercy rule.
FRONT ROYAL -- Host Skyline made the most of five Handley errors to pick up a 6-3 baseball victory in Northwestern District action on Monday at Bing Crosby Stadium.
STANARDSVILLE -- Shenandoah Valley Christian Academy finished third in the United Christian Academy baseball tournament on Saturday. The Patriots lost 13-4 in the semifinals to Faith Christian. They then defeated Day Spring Christian, 5-4, in the third-place game.
