All-area boys tennis teams

First team
John Adams, Handley
The senior advanced to the Region II individual singles semifinals after finishing as runner-up in the Northwestern District.

Trae Drexler, Millbrook
The junior helped lead the Pioneers to a tie for second in the Northwestern District. Drexler advanced to the Northwestern District individual singles semifinals.

Kaleb Nguyen, Sherando
Playing his first year of high school tennis, Nguyen won the district individual singles title. The sophomore overcame a thumb injury and advanced to the regional individual singles and doubles finals.

Daniel Park, Handley
The sophomore made a big move up the tennis ladder this season. Park went from playing at No. 5 singles at the end of last year to playing at No. 2, and helped lead the Judges to the Region II quarterfinals.

Trevor Scott, Sherando
The junior helped guide the Warriors to a 19-1 record and the Northwestern District regular season and tournament titles. Scott, who played at No. 2 singles, went 17-2 in singles this year.

Thomas Wilson, James Wood
The senior led the Colonels to the district tournament semifinals after James Wood tied for fourth in the regular season. Wilson and doubles partner Joe Damron advanced to the Northwestern District tournament individual doubles semifinals.
