WINCHESTER - Handley didn't play with a lot of defensive intensity for much of its game against Skyline on Tuesday night. However, the Judges picked it up when they needed it in the second half on their way to a 54-46 victory over the Hawks in Northwestern District action.
FRONT ROYAL - Mike Carlson knows he has three periods in each match to try to beat his opponent on the mat. If things aren't going his way at the start, he'll study his opponent's moves and tendencies, all while trying to make sure he isn't pinned himself.

FRONT ROYAL -- The Skyline Hawks began their 2009 basketball campaign quickly this year. Having completed just over two weeks of practice due to the football teams' extended season, the Hawks hosted Kettle Run with a couple of players still working on making the transition.
FRONT ROYAL -- Even when its last chance for the playoffs seemed exhausted with last week's loss to Sherando, Warren County still kept faith that a berth in the Division 3, Region II field could be earned with a win Friday night against arch-rival Warren County, along with a little help from the outside.
