All-area boys soccer teams

Matt Brady, Sherando
Brady was a rare combination of speed and physicality up top and was named to the first team in the district, region and state. He scored 21 goals and tallied 16 assists while earning the Northwestern District's Co-Player of the Year award.

Armando Moreno, Stonewall
Moreno was one of the more technical forwards around, leading the area with 33 goals and notching 11 assists. He was given first-team all-district and first-team all-region honors.

Andrew Lloyd, James Wood
The only Colonel named to the Northwestern District's first team, Lloyd was in the top five in the area in goals with 14 in his senior season. He also had three assists.

Colton Koontz, Stonewall
Koontz scored seven goals in his first season at centerback for the Generals. A first-team all-district and second-team all-region selection, Koontz rarely gave up a 50-50 ball in the backfield.

Welmer Landaverde, Millbrook
With 10 goals, Landaverde was named first team all-district. He also made the all-region second team and earned an all-state honorable mention.

Patrick Bain, Stonewall

Bain set a Stonewall Jackson record for assists in a season with 25. He scored 13 goals and was the Shenandoah District Co-Player of the Year.

Carlos Chavez, Sherando
One of the more versatile players in the area, Chavez distributed 13 assists and scored 11 goals as an all-district selection.

Ryan Runion, Millbrook
Named first team all-district and second team all-region, Runion scored 14 goals.

Michael Paule-Carres, Handley

Paule-Carres was the Judges' most potent scorer with 12 goals and was an all-district first teamer.

Max Triantafillou, Millbrook
A strong presence in the back for the Pioneers, Triantafillou was first team all-district and all-region and honorable mention on the all-state team.

Hayden Miller, Stonewall
Miller led the area with nine shutouts and registered 86 saves. He allowed 19 goals in 22 games and was named to the Shenandoah District first team and the Region B second team.
