GETTYSBURG, Pa. - No. 2 Randolph-Macon used a fast start Friday night to key an 84-62 victory over future ODAC foe Shenandoah in the opening round of the 20th Annual Days Inn Gettysburg Tip-off Tournament.
The 'Jackets (2-0) scored the first eight points of the game and never looked back against Shenandoah (0-2).

WINCHESTER -- When Corey Giffing played outside linebacker at North East High School (Md.), his coaches typically saved film sessions for those rainy days when the school's practice field turned to a muddy, sloppy mess.

Ferrum (3-4, 3-1 USA South) rolled up 523 yards in total offense and scored a pair of special teams touchdowns to key the victory over Shenandoah (2-5, 2-2).

Wright had to watch to see how the game would play out. The crowd's reaction, he said, is too difficult to interpret -- and he needed to be sure the Hornets weren't heading to overtime.
MARYVILLE, Tenn. -- Shenandoah University earned its first football win in over a season Saturday afternoon with a 7-6 USA South Conference win at Maryville College.
The loss snaps a 13-game losing streak for the Hornets (1-4, 1-1 USA South) and is the squad's first-ever victory over Maryville (1-4, 0-2).
WINCHESTER -- With four consecutive losses dangling behind them, their most recent setback being to USA South conference rival Christopher Newport, the Shenandoah Hornets (0-4, 0-1 USA South) are still learning the ins and outs of each other.
