You go to enough football camps and talk to enough football coaches, and sooner or later you'll hear all about players' "heads swimming" as they learn a new offense or defense, shift over to a new position, move up a level of competition or join a new program.
FRONT ROYAL -- Just a little over two weeks after Warren County defeated cross-town rival Skyline 1-0 in an extra-inning pitchers' duel, the Wildcats and the Hawks met for round two of softball action at Skyline on Thursday.

To say his team had just finished a cold shooting night would be putting it politely. At times it was baffling to see another Wildcats shot spin out of the hoop, yet after four quarters, Warren County had managed just six field goals on 39 shots, including a scoreless third quarter. Meanwhile, their opponent, Clarke County, had little trouble finding the basket, and rolled to a 61-33 win over the Wildcats on Monday night.
