Warren County High School announces award recipients

Warren County High School, which held its graduation ceremony on June 7, has announced recipients of academic honors this year.

The Warren County Educational Foundation Scholarship — $3,000 celebrating the top academic male at Warren County High School, who meets all requirements during four years at the school — went to Britt Robert Cupp. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cupp, he will be attending Virginia Tech in the fall.

Jessica Paige Platter received the Carl and Emily Thompson Charitable Trust Fund, $3,000 awarded to the top academic female at the school for meeting all requirements during four years at the school. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Platter, she will be attending the University of Virginia.

Distinguished Honors students received maroon and gold cords to wear at June 6th’s graduation ceremony, and the Honors Seniors received maroon and silver cords. The students are as follows in alphabetical order:
