Letter to the Editor: Protest Sen. Warner’s endorsement for attorney general

Sen. Mark Warner’s support of Loretta Lynch as a candidate for attorney general is an outrage. There are many reasons why this is so. Here are three:

Warner himself stated publicly that President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty was wrong because immigration law has to be changed by the legislature according to the Constitution. But Lynch says she supports Obama’s executive amnesty, in effect, holding that it is alright for the president to make new law from the White House instead of enforcing existing law — a gross violation of his constitutional authority.

Warner says that he is working hard to protect us from terrorist threats. But when a large British bank laundered billions of dollars for terrorist groups and drug cartels, Lynch arranged for the bank administrators on American soil to get off without any criminal charges by paying a fine!

Warner swore an oath to uphold the Constitution. However, according to Sen. Ted Cruz, “when asked if the Constitution allows the federal government to use a drone to kill an American citizen on American soil, if that person poses no imminent threat — at the hearing, she [Lynch] refused to answer that question.”

If a candidate for attorney general cannot recognize that it is wrong to use a drone to kill an American citizen on American soil when he or she poses no imminent threat, how can Warner support her candidacy?

Wake up, Virginians! Flood Warner’s office with phone calls protesting his hypocritical endorsement of Lynch before it is too late. If we the people allow lawless people like  Lynch to enforce our laws, we will have no one but ourselves to blame when they take away the few rights we have left.

May God have mercy on our country!
