Reward offered for information on burglary

Victims of a residential burglary in Middletown are offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the conviction of the suspect or suspects involved.

The burglary occurred in the early afternoon on July 6 at a home in the 8000 block of Main Street, according to a news release from the Middletown Police Department.

Among items taken were Civil War bullets, belt buckles, jewelry, coins and a 3-foot by 3-foot sleigh.

“The suspect has sold some items to other people who described the suspect vehicle as a dark blue hatchback with lots of dents on the vehicle,” the release states.

“The witnesses described the suspect as a white male, dark complexion, 5′ 9″ tall with tattoos on both arms and dark long straight hair.”

The release states that a dark colored hatchback was seen at the residence when the burglary occurred.
