Crochet Group

Samuels Public Library in Front Royal will host a Crochet Group at 10 a.m. Wednesday. All ability levels welcome. Group meets monthly on the second and fourth Wednesday. Information: 540-635-3153.

 

Boy Scouts

 

The Shenandoah Area Council Boy Scouts of America will host the annual Friends of Scouting Dinner from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the George Washington Hotel in Winchester. Guest speaker will be Eagle Scout Terry Fossum, a multi-million dollar philanthropist, author, and winner of Kicking & Screaming, Season 1 on Fox. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit over 6,500 youth and volunteers in the Shenandoah Area. To attend, contact Stuart Williams at 540-662-2551.

 

Mixer

Hearthstone School in Sperryville will host a Tween Mixer from 7-9:30 p.m. Jan. 26 for ages 10-13. There will be music, dancing, karaoke, snacks and games. Admission is $5. Information: 540-987-9212.

Puppy adoptions

The SPCA of Winchester, Frederick and Clarke will host a Puppy Bowl Adoption event Jan. 28 through Feb. 4, the week leading up to the Super Bowl. Fees will be $52 all week for adopting a new tailgate partner.  Information: 540-662-8616.

Samuels library

Samuels Library will host “What the Tech! from 4-5:30 p.m. Thursday.  Bring  phones, smart devices, tablets, laptops or E-Readers and questions. Registration. Information/registration: 540-635-3153.

Writers group

Handley Library will host a Non-Fiction Writers Group from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Benham Gallery.  The group will meet the fourth Wednesday evening of each month. Information: www.handleyregional.org.

Libratory

Bowman Library in Stephens City will host Homeschool Libratory from 2-3 p.m. January 26 for ages 6-12.   The program is held the fourth Friday of the month. Registration required. Information/registration: 540-869-9000.
