9:40 p.m. First final of the night: Madison County 19, Stonewall Jackson 8

9:21 p.m. Stephen Dixon connects on a 23-yard field goal to boost Madison County's lead to 19-8 against Stonewall with 7:31 left in the third quarter.

9:12 p.m. End of third quarter, Madison still leads Stonewall 16-8.

9:06 p.m. Madison County's Rashad Bolden hauls in a 5-yard TD pass from Dustin Farmer and the Mountaineers convert the extra point to stretch their lead to 16-8 with 3:31 left in the third quarter.

9:05 p.m. Sherando still out front against James Wood, 14-7, at the end of three quarters.

8:44 p.m. It's been a tough night for Warren County so far. Liberty leads 42-14 at halftime.

8:31 p.m. Stonewall Jackson misses a golden opportunity as the Mountaineers hold on fourth-and-goal at their 2-yard line on the final play of the first half. At halftime, Madison County leads 9-8.

8:29 p.m. James Wood pulls within a touchdown of Sherando. At halftime, the Warriors lead 14-7.

8:11 p.m. Madison County's Ralph Yates scores on a 1-yard run, but Stonewall stops the conversion try. The Mountaineers lead 9-8 with 6:33 left in the first half.

8:03 p.m. Stonewall still leads Madison County 8-3 at the end of the first quarter.

8:02 p.m. Millbrook leads Skyline 14-7 at halftime. The Pioneers' Jordan Hartman dashed for a 13-yard touchdown run with 48 seconds left in the half to put Millbrook ahead.

7:50 p.m. Stonewall's Jared Getz scores on a 14-yard TD run and Generals QB John-Michael Pirtle converts the two-point conversion with a run. Stonewall leads 8-3 with 3:12 left in the first quarter.

7:38 p.m. End of first quarter, Sherando still leads James Wood 14-0.

7:37 p.m. Madison County's Stephen Dixon hits a 27-yard field goal to put the Mountaineers up 3-0 on Stonewall Jackson with 8:15 left in the first quarter.

7:34 p.m. Sherando is already off to a strong start against James Wood, leading 14-0 with 3:17 left in the first quarter.

6:19 p.m. Still 40 minutes away from kickoff, and already a huge crowd is pouring into Arrowhead Stadium to see Frederick County rivals James Wood and Sherando square off.

6:07 p.m. Five games are on tap tonight, as several area schools have off weeks and both MMA and R-MA are in action on Saturday. Off this week are Central, Strasburg and Clarke County. In action tonight are Madison County at Stonewall Jackson; Handley at Kettle Run; James Wood at Sherando; Millbrook at Skyline; Warren County at Liberty.
