10:09 p.m.: Late report from Strasburg's 28-6 win over Madison County. Strasburg's Hunter Funk connected with Troy Gordon on a first-half touchdown pass, and Gordon opened the third quarter with a 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown as the Rams knocked off their Bull Run District rivals in the first of two meetings this season. This game did not count toward the district standings.

9:41 p.m.: Sherando not done yet, either, as Taylor Loudon runs 49 yards for TD. Warriors lead Washington, 55-33, with 1:04 to play.

9:37 p.m.: Host Washington lands a late blow as Tyler Wilt hits Tyrek Collier on a 33-yard touchdown pass and Patriots convert two-point conversion. Sherando still leads, 48-33, with 1:20 left.

9:28 p.m.: Sherando's Joe Ojo scores on a 47-yard touchdown run, boosting the Warriors' lead over Washington to 48-25 with 3:50 to play.

9:08 p.m.: End of third quarter, Sherando leads Washington, 42-25.

9:05 p.m.: Warriors not quite done in third quarter, as Joe Ojo breaks loose for 43-yard touchdown run. Sherando leads Washington, 42-25, with 56 seconds left in third quarter.

8:59 p.m.: Sherando's Reid Entsminger scores on a 5-yard touchdown run, boosting the Warriors to a 35-25 lead over Washington with 2:17 left in the third quarter.

8:55 p.m.: An injury has delayed the James Wood/Musselman game. Applemen lead, 23-14, with just more than 10 minutes to play.

8:51 p.m.: Washington's Larnelle Patteson delivers his own big play with a 60-yard touchdown run. Sherando still leads, 28-25, with 7:13 left in third quarter.

8:44 p.m.: Breathing room for the Eagles -- Clarke County 18, Stonewall Jackson 8 with 3:37 left to play.

8:32 p.m.: Clarke County has pushed ahead of Stonewall Jackson, 15-8, with 9:22 left to play.

8:26 p.m.: Stonewall Jackson and Clarke County still locked up, 8-8, heading into the fourth quarter.

8:16 p.m.: Halftime score -- Sherando 28, Washington 19

8:04 p.m.: Back comes Washington, as Tyrek Collier scores on an 8-yard run with 1:08 left in the first half. Sherando leads, 28-19.

7:58 p.m.: Halftime score -- Musselman 9, James Wood 6

7:57 p.m.: Jalen Brisco strikes again, hitting Joe Ojo for a 52-yard touchdown pass to stretch Sherando's lead to 28-12 with 3:01 left in the second quarter.

7:54 p.m.: Washington pulls a little closer as the Patriots' Tyler Wilt scoreds on a 7-yard touchdown run. Two-point conversion run failed, and Sherando leads 21-12 with 3:16 left in second quarter.

7:51 p.m.: Defensive struggle so far in Quicksburg, as Stonewall Jackson and Clarke County are tied 8-8 at halftime. Generals quarterback John-Michael Pirtle leads all rushers with 38 yards.

7:40 p.m.: Sherando's Jalen Brisco connects on another bomb, hooking up with Lucas Tunison for a 68-yard touchdown pass. Sherando leads Washington, 21-6, with 6:24 left in the first half.

7:31 p.m.: Clarke County pulls even with Stonewall Jackson, 8-8, with 5:29 left in second quarter.

7:26 p.m.: End of first quarter, Sherando leads Washington, 14-6.

7:22 p.m.: Stonewall Jackson grabs an 8-0 lead on Clarke County, 9:37 left in the first half.

7:21 p.m.: Again for Sherando ... Reid Entsminger rumbles 65 yards for a touchdown. Warriors lead Washington, 14-6, with 1:13 left in first quarter.

7:19 p.m.: Plenty of early fireworks in Charles Town, W.Va. Sherando's Jalen Brisco connects with George Aston on a 51-yard touchdown strike with 5:42 left in the first quarter. The Warriors fumbled on their ensuing series and Washington scored to cut the deficit to 7-6 with 2:03 left in the first.

7:16 p.m.: First update of the night; Stonewall Jackson and Clarke County are scoreless after the first quarter. Generals are driving to open the second.

Greetings on a somewhat soggy Friday evening. The wet weather has prompted a few changes to the area football schedule, but a few scheduled matchups are still on as planned tonight.

First, the postponements:

• Millbrook has rolled back it's scheduled game against Jefferson (W.Va.) to Saturday with 1 p.m. start time.

• Warren County will now host Central on Monday night at 7 p.m.

• Skyline will now host Fauquier on Monday night at 7 p.m.

Other games already scheduled for Saturday include Martinsburg at Handley (1 p.m.), Model School at MMA (1 p.m.) and R-MA at Sidwell Friends (2:30 p.m.)

Here's what's still on tap tonight (we'll update as often as we can during games):

• Clarke County at Stonewall Jackson, 7 p.m.

• Sherando at Washington (W.Va.), 7 p.m.

• James Wood at Musselman (W.Va.), 7 p.m.

• Strasburg at Madison County, 7:30 p.m.
