Handley 14, Washington 7 9:55: Central rallied for a 22-21 win with a touchdown with 47 seconds left in the game. 9:31: Warren County held on against James Wood. Two games still going on. Strasburg trails 24-7 with 10 minutes left. Manassas Park leads Central 21-15 with 5:05 left. 9:13: We have two more finals. Kettle Run beats Skyline 26-7, and Stonewall beats Buffalo Gap 14-6. Manassas Park now leads Central 21-6 after three quarters. 9:10: Warren County has responded. It's 29-21 with 2:23 left in the game. 9:08: James Wood has tied things up 21-21, in the fourth quarter. 8:48: Kettle Run leads Skyline 12-7 in the fourth quarter. William Monroe is beating Strasburg 21-0 at the half. 8:37: Stonewall is still up 14-6 at the end of the third. 8:35: Warren County's offense is clicking now. The Wildcats lead 21-14 with 9:32 left in the third quarter. 8:26: Manassas Park leads Central 14-6 at the half. Stonewall is up 14-6 in the third quarter. Lots of close games tonight. 7:59: James Wood and Warren County are now tied 14-14 with 19 seconds left in the first half. Skyline leads 7-6 at halftime. 7:53: Stonewall Jackson and Buffalo Gap are tied 6-6 at the half. James Wood leads 14-7 with 3:53 left in the second quarter. Manassas Park leads 7-0 after the first quarter. 7:40: James Wood now leads 14-0 with 9:10 left in the second quarter. 7:31: It looks like two upsets are brewing in Front Royal. Skyline is ahead 7-0 at the end of the first quarter. 7:28: Stonewall Jackson is up 6-0 early in the second quarter on a 2-yard TD run by Jared Getz. Meanwhile, an upset is brewing in Front Royal. James Wood leads 7-0 with 2:53 left in the first quarter. 7:04: Handley beats Washington 14-7. 5:55: It's still 14-7, Handley, in the fourth quarter. I'm taking a supper break, but I will have more updates later. 5:42: Dexter Sloane's 4-yard TD run has given Handley a 14-7 lead with 5:29 left in the third quarter. 5:12: Chris Skinner, who made his Handley debut two weeks ago, had the Judges only touchdown with a 32-yard run. The James Wood transfer should help the Judges in football and basketball this season. 5:05: Handley and Washington are still tied at the half, 7-7. 4:42: Handley and Washington are tied 7-7 with 8:55 left in the second quarter. 3:45: We have another strong slate of games tonight. Starting with an early game between Handley and Washington. I think tonight we will find out a lot more about the local teams. Warren County has its first game against a Group AA squad. Central has a tough road test against Manassas Park. Strasburg has a tough road game at William Monroe. As always I will do my best to keep you updated throughout the evening on all the games.
