Strasburg's Hunter Funk connected with Troy Gordon on a first-half touchdown pass, and Gordon opened the third quarter with a 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown as the Rams knocked off their Bull Run District rivals in the first of two meetings this season. This game did not count toward the district standings. 9:41 p.m.: Sherando not done yet, either, as Taylor Loudon runs 49 yards for TD. Warriors lead Washington, 55-33, with 1:04 to play. 9:37 p.m.: Host Washington lands a late blow as Tyler Wilt hits Tyrek Collier on a 33-yard touchdown pass and Patriots convert two-point conversion. Sherando still leads, 48-33, with 1:20 left. 9:28 p.m.: Sherando's Joe Ojo scores on a 47-yard touchdown run, boosting the Warriors' lead over Washington to 48-25 with 3:50 to play. 9:08 p.m.: End of third quarter, Sherando leads Washington, 42-25. 9:05 p.m.: Warriors not quite done in third quarter, as Joe Ojo breaks loose for 43-yard touchdown run. Generals quarterback John-Michael Pirtle leads all rushers with 38 yards. 7:40 p.m.: Sherando's Jalen Brisco connects on another bomb, hooking up with Lucas Tunison for a 68-yard touchdown pass. Sherando's Jalen Brisco connects with George Aston on a 51-yard touchdown strike with 5:42 left in the first quarter. The Warriors fumbled on their ensuing series and Washington scored to cut the deficit to 7-6 with 2:03 left in the first. 7:16 p.m.: First update of the night; Stonewall Jackson and Clarke County are scoreless after the first quarter. Generals are driving to open the second. Greetings on a somewhat soggy Friday evening. The wet weather has prompted a few changes to the area football schedule, but a few scheduled matchups are still on as planned tonight.
