9:36 p.m.: Central still leading William Monroe, 21-14, at the end of the third quarter.

9:33 p.m.: No overtime after all for Skyline, which drove nearly the length of the field and got a 1-yard touchdown run from Dayvon Haight with 4 seconds left to knock off Millbrook by a 26-20 score. Drive started on the Skyline 26 and took just 1:19.

9:15 p.m.: Looks like unbeaten Liberty is going to deal Warren County it's first loss of the season. Eagles lead, 24-16, with 1:24 left.

9:14 p.m.: Millbrook and Skyline could be headed to overtime. Pioneers and Hawks are all tied up, 20-20, with 1:19 left in regulation.

8:59 p.m.: Skyline and Millbrook still all tied up, now 14-14, early in fourth quarter.

8:58 p.m.: Liberty grabs a 17-16 lead over Warren County with 6:57 to play.

8:48 p.m.: Warren County remains ahead, 16-11, over Liberty at the end of the third quarter.

8:48 p.m.: Halftime score -- Central 21, William Monroe 14

8:47 p.m.: Joe Ojo scored his third TD, a 5-yard run, to push Sherando's lead over James Wood to 21-7 with 7:58 left in the third quarter. Ojo has 121 rushing yards so far.

8:42 p.m.: Warren County leading 16-11 over Liberty in battle of unbeatens. Wildcats out front by five with 1:40 left in the third quarter.

8:29 p.m.: Update and a correction; previous Central/William Monroe score was after the first quarter. Now Central leads, 21-14, on Hayden Bauserman's 24-yard touchdown strike to Sean Semones with 5:30 left in the first half.

8:15 p.m.: William Monroe leads Central 14-6 at the end of the first half.

8:08 p.m.: Halftime score -- Millbrook 7, Skyline 7

8:05 p.m.: James Wood doing its best to make it a happy homecoming as Chad Potter snares a 13-yard touchdown pass from Jake Lewin in the second quarter to cut Sherando's lead to 14-7 at halftime.

7:58 p.m.: Halftime score -- Liberty 11, Warren County 8

7:41 p.m.: Liberty pulls even with Warren County at 8-8 with 7:11 left to play in the second quarter.

7:40 p.m.: Sherando now leading James Wood, 14-0, after Joe Ojo's 1-yard touchdown run with 8:04 left in the first half.

7:32 p.m.: Sherando leads James Wood 7-0 after one quarter of play. Joe Ojo has the Warriors' touchdown, a 2-yard run.

7:31 p.m.: Skyline and Millbrook are all tied up at 7-7 early in the second quarter.

7:29 p.m.: Warren County still leading Liberty, 8-0, at the end of the first quarter.

7:18 p.m.: First news of the night; Warren County leads Liberty in a huge Evergreen District matchup of unbeatens. Wildcats are out front, 8-0, with 5:45 left in the first quarter.

5:54 p.m.: Beautiful night for football, and I'm stuck on the desk again. My loss (hopefully) is your gain, as I'll do my best to keep you up-to-date on tonight's football action.
