Over the past few months the Virginia Cooperative Extension's Family and Consumer Science agents have been working to help educate childcare centers on the benefits to having a healthy and active center for all involved. It occurred to me that we aren't reaching all childcare providers (I'm looking at you family member/friend caretakers or babysitters), and you might want some helpful resources as well! If you provide care for any aged child you might want to check these resources out.
The Web has a lot of great information and a lot of uncredible information to sort through... such a hard task! I have started this for you. Take a look at these great websites for ideas to get the kids active, eating healthy foods, involved in the outdoors and interested in books:
Virginia Cooperative Extension has a large amount of publications for you to search!
eXtension's Alliance for Better Childcare database has some great crafts and articles to read up on
Kids Health.org has resources for kids, teens and parents
