There are opportunities through the Virginia Cooperative Extension to get your canning equipment looked over before you start your season of canning. It is FREE and you know if your gauges are still accurate year to year! See when your local FCS Agent will be testing canners at the Extension Office near you!

NOTE: Please bring your pressure canner lid and attached dial gauge; we do not test weighted gauges. If you cannot bring your canning supplies on these days/times, you may leave your lid in advance to have it tested during one of the scheduled times and pick it up later.
