The Beekeepers of the Northern Shenandoah (BONS) will offer 8-week classes in beginning beekeeping starting in February. Instructors will be experienced beekeepers. Classes will include two field trips -  building hives and handling bees.  Cost is $120 per family and registration is required. Evening and day classes will be offered at four different locations:

• Blandy Research Farm, Mondays 7-9 p.m. starting February 11

• Marshall Community Center, 7-9 p.m. starting February 12

• Virginia Tech Research Farm in Winchester, 7-9 p.m. starting February 14

• Shenandoah University, Hinkle Hall Room 222, Saturdays 10 a.m.-12 p.m. starting February 16.
